How is it Thursday again? Is anyone else’s 2025 seeming to fly by? We're already halfway through the year!
Today, I am stoked to share the second installment of 11 Ways to Become Unstoppable! As a reminder, the first six ways from my last post were:
Simply believing that you can be!
The Big Three: Activating patience, flexibility and creativity
Invest in yourself
Find people ahead of you and follow their lead
Stop making excuses
Take Risks
Let’s keep going!
Allow yourself to change: This is a BIG one, folx. As we move through life, we learn new things, we collect new perspectives, our expectations, wants and needs all change. We are allow to change. In fact, we should be encouraged to change. The 25 year old version of me craved a vibrant social life that looked like staying up late and having cocktails in fancy bars. That worked for her. But, this 42 year old version of me actually now longs for the quiet of my home and the peace of sobriety. We do ourselves a monumental disservice when we stay stagnant.
Commit to small steps: Change can feel daunting. I get it. Instead of looking at the whole staircase, focus on the next stair ahead of you. Goals should be small, objective and manageable. I like mine to feel so small that they are almost impossible not to meet. Here’s an example. If running a marathon is your goal, start with simply committing to check out new running shoes. Once you master that, commit to just putting them on. Later, commit to running around the block. With each step, commit to going just a bit farther next time. If you set the bar low, you build momentum. When you set the bar too high, you build doubt.
Make sure your hustle is connected to your passion. I used to work 3 jobs and over 60 hours a week. I achieved corporate success and a six figure salaIry, but I was anxious, depressed and unfulfilled. I out hours into the game, but no true passion. I was living other people’s dreams (namely my bosses). When I finally gave myself permission to let go of the things that were no longer serving me, I gained the confidence to explore what I actually wanted rather than what I thought I was supposed to do. I now travel the world, own a successful business and help people find their own purpose.
Understand that it is hard. You will fumble. You will fall. You will have to pick yourself up and try again. No one gets it right on the first go. It is all part of the learning and a fundamental part of all success stories. (If you need proof, check out my first social media posts! They are cringe).
Enjoy the process. Yup, I said it and it might give you the ick, but it is true. Becoming unstoppable means growth, evaluation, exploration. While those things might feel scary at the jump, they are a rad part of the human experience, so lean in and enjoy.
Is there anything else you would add? Let me know in the comments.
