My Boss was an A$$HOLE

Wanna know something wild? By the time I was 23, I had three degrees in psychology and forensic psychology. I’d already logged hours in top hospitals and major institutions, survived more than ten internships, written my thesis, and been accepted into the FBI, Homeland Security, and the NYPD.

But somehow, some way, I found myself doing private investigations for a man I despised.

I worker long hours, answered every email, and was working from home years before Zoom made it trendy.

And there I was—an accomplished, intelligent woman who had been on her own as long as legally allowed—still bowing to the weight of their opinion of me and running myself ragged.

I wish I could say that I didn't care what they thought.  But I did.

I cared—a lot.

I actually cared so much that I often lost myself inside their opinion of me.

In the end, they burnt me out so badly I  cracked under the pressure, the weight, the obligation—and I quit, spontaneously and without a plan.

The cool thing is now I have built a career around helping women remember who the eff they are so they don’t spend decades working for miserable men who make them feel like garbage.
